A keyboard with gesture typing and predictive text

THE VERDICT

Google Keyboard does everything expected of a keyboard these days. It has decent predictive, gesture typing, multiple themes and a mass of languages. The gesture typing isn't particularly accurate however, and there are only four themes available.

THE PROS

Google Keyboard has loads of options, giving you the option to omit offensive words, customize the long press durations, and a whole lot of other things. The prediction works fairly well, and you can also maintain and customize a personal dictionary.

THE CONS

The gesture typing is passable at best. It's frequently gets the words wrong. The lack of themes is also somewhat disappointing - but this is a fairly minor gripe, so as long as you're not after gesture typing, this is a great keyboard.

The material update was a huge leap forward, and the gesturing accuracy had improved too. Bye bye Swype!

The keypad is definitely a step backwards not forward as I shouldn't have to switch back and forth between the numbers pad and letters pad for simple word application's.... Sorry but u should look at the Asus Transformer keypad to see what it should look like

Like the material design feel but other than text messaging, keyboard does not provide suggestions. It either shows the gray bar where suggestions would normally display without offering any. Or the bar is nonexistent.
