Sync and backup your unrooted Android to the cloud or your SD card
Concerned about what might happen to all your apps and data should your Android ever bite the dust? Helium is your syncing and backup solution. No need for rooting, either - Helium works on any Android device.
Run Helium on your desktop and connect your Android to your computer to give the app the leeway it needs to work its magic. You'll be able to select whether you want to backup to the cloud or to your SD card. You can also sync your data with any of your other Android devices, regardless of whether they're on the same network. Schedule regular backups, and rest easy that your data is safe and sound.
Helium does NOT require root. All Android users can use Helium to backup and sync Android applications.
Helium lets you backup your apps and data to your SD card or cloud storage. With Helium, you can sync app data from your other Android devices-- even if they are not on the same network. Set up backup schedules with Helium, and never lose data again.
*Heads up: Helium will not work with the Android L Preview. adb backup is broken, and will be fixed before release. On the bright side, it seems there is active work happening on that feature, and more features being added (widget state backup and restore).*

Note: Some Sony devices have issues with Helium. This includes the Xperia S and Xperia Z. Sony has *disabled* backup on these devices completely.

Fixed some issues with Google Drive updating backups.
Fix backup dates not refreshing after a backup.
Just happened again. Another restore to nowhere... Wish you could drop the attitude and just fix your application; your good name is not enough to trade for the money I spent for this app.
I rooted a few weeks ago and was researching a few backup utilities that had consistent positive remarks in the Play Store, as well as other sites around the web. I've got a Nexus 4 with Droid 4.4.4, Cyanogenmod 3.4.0 kernel, and I'm running Liquid Smooth for Mako. I had no issues syncing to my DropBox, Google Drive, or OneDrive...but upon trying to restore my GApps folder after the newest LS upda
Can't believe this app. It's great!
Backs up app data like it says. Google should have implemented this in Android from the beginning. 5 stars if no need to connect to PC to enable external SD card backup!
