Krome is an app that works along with a Chrome extension to bring mobile notifications to your desktop
Imagine that your are at work. It isn't convenient (and in most cases, not even allowed) checking out your smartphone all the time, to read you notifications. However, there's no way to know if notifications come up are important or not, unless you unlock the phone and take a look at the screen. Well, there wasn't a way... until now. Krome syncs all the push notifications in your smartphone and brings it to your desktop screen.
You need two things: first this Android app (which is worth its $0.99) and then a free Chrome extension. Then, you must connect the app and the extensions: just follow the steps, you'll be connected in less than one minute. Once connected, you'll start receiving notifications in your desktop, which is extremely useful when you cannot pay attention to your phone. You cannot answer the messages or e-mails you get by clicking the notifications in the desktop extension (only SMS). However, it's useful enough knowing what the notification is about.
From the app you can also see the last notifications received and the list of apps installed (and supported, which will probably be all of them). Likewise, you can disable those apps you don't want to sync notifications with the desktop extension. You can also disconnect the app from the Chrome extension anytime.
The app is set in an user-friendly interface, with a step-by-step tutorial to sync the app with the desktop extension and an intuitive way to manage notifications. A must-have app.
Krome is a simple app that allows you to sync your Android notifications with Chrome on your PC. Just install this application on device, download Chrome extension and you are ready to go!
After configuration you can disable selected applications from showing notifications in Chrome. Krome also allows you to reply to SMS messages right from your browser - just click button below notification, write your reply and click send!
Chrome extension is available here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/krome/mppkdlbnbacpkibgpdolgbdblpdjlobh
### SUPPORTED SYSTEMS
All with Chrome (with notifications) available.
### SECURITY / PRIVACY
The app uses a secure connection to transfer the data. All notifications are sent via Google Cloud Messaging service. We keep small portions of data (app icons etc) on our servers and right after receiving notification on Chrome, we delete them. You can encrypt your data with your own key, which is NOT synced (you have to enter it in both apps).
App allows to send SMS messages, but you can disable that functionality in settings.

"Krome is still brand new, so functionality is a little light. What it can already do is pretty impressive, though."

- Changed timeouts
- Fix for force close at start with changing "spam" app
Also, Google is changing something on Chrome Web Store and all apps are not available to download. Please, be patient.
- New update to encryption (it should work better now)
- New main website for Krome (www.krome.mobi) with how-to install instructions and common issues
- Updated notification count for day
- Added multiselection and select/unselect all option
- Improved performance of app
Some lists where this application appears: Reviewed by Emmanuel Lund.
Facebook Chat Heads don't seem to show the actual message, just a notification saying 'chat heads active'. I wish the app had more settings like choosing whether or not to show the message text, how long to keep the desktop notification visible, etc. Maybe these are just issues with Chromes notification system.
Good idea, but buggy app. :-(
This app is far better than Pushbullet in that you can actually respond to sms messages and the messages stick in the chrome notifications tray (pushbullet does neither of these things). I would however like to see an update that will bring it up to kitkat standards and let me choose the sms app.
This app has experienced very many difficulties staying in Google's guidelines, making the user experience very crappy. The service was even down for a while, but something you expect from a paid app. Pushbullet is free and works much better, so I really can't recommend this app over it for anything.
Doesn't seem to be sending notifications to my desktop anymore
It was great when work. Since last chrome modifications it does not work anymore
This was a real hassle to get working and (importantly) *keep* working. I recently installed pushbullet which is a free app that does what this one does and more, and it's more reliable & easier to use. Unfortunately this app has now become redundant for me.
