Locate My Phone Mini

Extremely simple to use. Works everywhere, even without an Internet connection. This App will assist you in locating your device if it has been misplaced, lost or stolen. By sending it an SMS Message, you can remotely make the phone ring and get its position, address (if found) and battery level. You can also use it to locate a child and for other tracking purposes

After LocateMyPhoneMini has been started, you can forget all about it. Even if the phone is turned off and on again, it will restart automatically

Send an SMS to it, containing the word LMPM to get its position after a short time.
Send an SMS with the words LMPM MaxRingingVolume (or MRV) to enable the ringer (in case it was set to silent). Then you can make normal phone calls to it, to hear and locate it.
The words LMPM RingAloud (or RA) makes it ring for three minutes

If you download this App after the phone has been lost, it can find its position PROVIDED that the Localization determined by Wireless Networks has been enabled on your phone (*)

This App is primarily meant to be very easy to use, for locating a lost or mislaid phone. If you want a more secure App – but one which may be a bit more demanding to use - which also enables you to remotely lock the screen and wipe data, and which protects against uninstallation, you should have a look at Locate My Phone (Lite)

An important difference between LocateMyPhoneMini and similar applications is that this app requires NO REGISTRATION, and there is NO MONTHLY FEE

If you have concerns about installing those apps which require that you hand over full control over your phone to some remote web-site, this may be the app for you. LocateMyPhoneMini does (more or less) the same as those apps, while you are keeping full control over your own phone

Here is how you can do a remote install:
1. Data (WiFi or Network) must be enabled on the phone, and a Google account logged into the phone. (If you previously have downloaded anything from the Market, an account is already registered on the phone)
2. Find the App on the Market (on this page)
3. You must be logged into Google, at the top right corner of the screen
4. Click 'Install' next to the app icon
5. Select your device and click install

This free Version of LocateMyPhoneMini has most of the functions of the full Version, EXCEPT ListCalls, and that the WIRELESS NETWORK (and NOT the GPS) is used to obtain the Position of the Phone. You can use it for an unlimited period of time. If you like it, and you would also like to have more accurate (GPS) Positions, you may want to buy the Full Version; the LocateMyPhoneMiniHidden

The paid version also has another advanced feature: It will HIDE its LAUNCH ICON in Stealth Mode. Which makes it hard for a thief (or person being tracked) to detect its existence
