Netcounter is a WiFi/EDGE/3G data consumption counter
We all have data plans over EDGE/3G with specific conditions depending on the phone operator we're using. However, there are data consumption restrictions for all of them. For this reason, tracking your data consumption becomes a need. Netcounter comes up to help you out with this issue.
This basic counter tracks data consumption over EDGE/3G/WiFi (the latter there's no problem regarding data plan restriction). It does it daily, weekly or monthly. You can set the starting date, reset the counter, set a limit and show notifications when reaching that limit.
It's really easy to use and the interface is simple but quite attractive. However, we have tried way more complete counters for Android, with a wide range of settings regarding notification and monitoring. What's more, it isn't the most accurate data counter.
Netcounter has been developed by Cyril Jaquier, an emerging developer who has launched just this app so far with remarkably success.
If you're a looking for a simple netcounter, light and easy to get the hang of it, try this one. If what you want is something more complete, keep searching. Anyway, recommendable.
The counter of the mobile data (3G) is zero all the time. The app doesn't count mobile data for my nexus 4.
Very useful to identify uses if or data plan is limited. Good.
I had this app on my htc, was extremely accurate when checked against my online bill, hope its as good on my new samaung
Worked fine on samsung galaxy s3. Now have samsung galaxy s4 and it only shows wifi data. See my cell network data is more important to me.
Small footprint but does exactly what it ment to do. Would have been great if a widget is added.
I've used this app on my phone for ages and found it very useful, so when i got my Nexus 7 3G I installed it to keep track of usage. However I frequently get message that it's stopped responding and will be closed. Don't know whether this is due to Androi
