The NFC TagInfo application reads meta information and data from contactless RFID and NFC transponders. It is an ideal tool for anyone who is curious about the information stored on their Near Field Communication tags.

The analysis tool is a must-have for NFC application developers on the Android platform. NFC TagInfo demonstrates the tag-reading capabilities of the Android API. Developers may use this tool to inspect and verify the information on their NFC and RFID tags.

    Simply not reading tags. @ Bengt Im probably the first to make you aware that not all phone users are hardware experts. But Im happy that you are. Im simple user of Galaxy S4 no idea whats it made of so as majority of the users. It is as simple as it works or it doesn't. If this app was not intended for S4 it should say something in description.

    I was interested to see how some applications are writing app-specific tags, so it was great to be able to get down and dirty with all the data, and see all the standards/protocol and formatting

    It works properly, but it would be great if it supported multiple access keys for passports and the ability to store the read images.
