"Measure the potential of your device"

Quadrant is a benchmarking app that makes a performance test of CPU, I/O and 3D graphics

Submit your device to a benchmark test. With a single tap Quadrant will run a test for CPU, I/O and 3D graphics that will take just a few seconds. Once it's done you need to send the benchmarking results (Internet connection is needed). It will show your device rate compared on a bar graph with the average rate of other devices. This app is specially useful if you like to change ROMs or to install apps that aims to improve your device's performance, and you want to check that improvements. Otherwise, you'll probably find it useless.

Take in account that this app doesn't work on devices with no GPU, and that Nexus S (surprisingly) isn't supported.

Quadrant has been developed by Aurora Softworks, and that's the only app that they've launched on the market.

It has to be said that there are more complete benchmarking apps which take a wider criteria range. Quadrant is a simple and guiding one. After all it does what it says and it's useful for its specific purpose.

Developer's original description available here

The application does not work on devices with no GPU (Spica, Tattoo).

This edition may not be used for commercial purposes.

Having a persistent black bar whereas properly updated apps don't is very annoying.

I wish the list of comparison devices would get an update. I just upgraded to a s4 and would like to see where it ranks against new devices. Oh and 12650 out of the box.

Back from when I managed a cell store, I picked up the habit of benchmarking all of the android devices. Every new phone I get... This is in my first few downloads.
