#!/system/bin/sh umask 000 /data/data/com.teslacoilsw.quicksshd/dropbear/dropbear.real "$@" Since QuickSSHd (and therefore dropbear) run as root, you don't need to change ownership of dropbear.pid. A quick fix for the QuickSSHd authors is to use su to read the dropbear.pid file. Right now they don't, and normal users can no longer read it. Update 04/14 - several emails to the developer have gone

Gives feedback about dropbear being a bollox but changing permission on dropbear creates more problems than it solves.

I used to use this all the time on galaxy nexus, it worked great. Now on my new nexus 5 it doesn't start, something about dropbear PID.

Samsung Galaxy S4, Android 4.3, rooted. Cannot find pid of dropbear
by Martyn Davis on 07/11/2013
As others are saying, it doesn't work, claiming Dropbear's PID can't be found. I, like the others, am getting zero response from Tesla after two weeks & several emails. Uninstalling & will be seeking refund.

Tesla please give me some updates like fixing the permissions issue
by James Skaggs on 03/07/2013
Apparently, this does not work as of JellyBean and folks are wondering if there is any active development. When it worked, it was 5 stars. You *can* make this work, but it takes some monkeying around. Google: quicksshd jellybean site:tolaris.com. Easy fix, but not very easy to do using a soft keyboard. Also, the fix requires root and a bit of know-how if the fix doesn't work at first. Paid app

Broken for JB devices. Such a shame, paid for this.

Like others, stopped working since JellyBean and hasn't been updated for a long time. 2 stars for old times' sake, currently useless.
