Screen Memo Capture - Save web
100,000 - 500,000 downloads
- Two choices: screenshot or bookmark
- Offline mode
- Needs more features
- It should be enhanced regarding interface
Screen Memo Capture comes with a built-in browser from where you can easily navigate, bookmark and capture any website. It basically downloads webpages that can be checked anytime in your device, even when you are offline.
In addition, you have two choices to capture webpages: save webpage as HTML or take a screenshot of it. Both ways are useful to save, for example, map location, detailed info, news or any other "for-checking-later" resource. What's more, any web capture can be shared using the sharing resource installed in your device.
The app is set in a simple layout that should certainly be enhanced. Its home is kind of chaotic, full of intrusive banners. Although the built-in browsers works pretty good, I'm missing lots of features: a permanent button for capturing when navigating with other browsers, just to name one.
This app lets you use on your smartphone the familiar "Screen Memo" function found in conventional mobile phones.
The webpage that you capture with Screen Memo Capture is saved as data in your terminal, so you can view it when you are offline or even when the website disappears.
If you make memos for information such as map displays and train transfer information, you can view them again even when your terminal is out of signal range, saving you the trouble of looking up the information again.
The Screen Memo function offers you two choices. It can save a webpage completely as HTML or as an image.
If you save a webpage completely as HTML, you can use it again as a webpage because the links inside the page are preserved as-is.
If you want a screenshot, you can just save the screen as an image.
The webpage shown during browsing will be saved just as it is as a single image.
Furthermore, you can directly use the Screen Memo function from a Web browser without launching the app.
If there is a page on the website you are viewing with the browser that you want to save,
open the terminal's menu and choose "Others" --> "Share Page" --> "Screen Memo Capture." This will allow you to make a screen memo out of it.
If you use the app's Web browser function, you can save pages of websites requiring login.
