Dear User, Stairway Fast Root ICS/JB enables you to root most Android ICS/JB Devices.
This versions contains support for rooting with the help of Companion Tool for Linux, Mac and Windows.
A PC or Mac is required to run the companion tool to root your device. The companion tool enables the rooting of many Android Ice Cream Sandwitch and Jellybean phones/devices.
There are four versions of this installer which contains the Stairway Fast Root Companion Tool suited for your particular PC - Windows, Mac OS X Mountain Lion and Ubuntu GNU/Linux. Also a combo version which includes all three versions of the tool. The Companion Stairway Fast Root Tool can root only devices with a ARM CPU (most devices are ARM).
The Companion Stairway Fast Root Tool requires you to accept a restore request on your phone/device so that rooting procedure can be completed. You need to have debugging enabled on your phone as described by Stairway Fast Root Companion Tool.
Rooting idealy requires only ~35 seconds once Stairway Fast Root Companion tool is run, in some cases it may stretch to two minutes. There are no critical side effects. You can continue using your phone after rooting. However you may take a backup of your important data for peace of mind before rooting.
Some device can't be rooted at all. This is the case if the device has been tightly locked by manufacturer or operator by heavy changes to the underlying android operating system. In this case the tool may run forever and you can safely unplug or purchase a developer friendly phone.

1. Copy stairway_all.zip with Stairway Fastroot Companion tool to storage.

About Rooting/Android rooting:
Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem.
As Android was derived from the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device is similar in practice to accessing administrative permissions on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X.
Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user. Rooting is similar to jailbreaking devices running the Apple iOS operating system. On Android, rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the device's operating system, usually with a more recent release of its current operating system. Root access is also required to load USB drivers for some specialized or just unsupported devices. --Wikipedia
