Take in account that this app is only for root users. It won't work if you haven't superuser access. Once that will be solved, you will be ready to use probably the most complete backup app on the market. Let's zoom on its features.
Backup/Restore tab
Here you will find a list of the apps installed in your Android. You will see at a glance if you already have a backup of some of them. There's a colored legend that shows those user apps (white), system apps (red) and mixed (green) which data will be synchronized From there you can copy, freeze, uninstall, clear data, launch the app, and in case that there's already a backup of the app, restore or delete the copy. You can perform all this one-by-one or in predefined batches. You will find them by clicking on "menu" and "batches". Thus you can backup "all the user apps" or "backup new versions" or "backup new apps & new versions", among others. You can set those batches to our taste thanks to the option "filters".
Scheduled tasks
Since backup manually every time is something boring and annoying, Titanium Backup Key Pro Root includes a scheduled task feature. You will be able to set those filters or predefined batches you want the app to perform automatically. in the free version there's only allowed two scheduled tasks/week.
As you can see, the app is quite simple and the only difficulty is to get the hang of the colored legend just to know what we should backup and what we shouldn't. Take in account that there's no need to backup system apps since the new ROM will include them, as well as those apps Google-sync as calendar or contacts.
This is the paid version of Titanium Backup Root (€4.99), with no restriction in the number of copies/app, neither number of scheduled tasks/week. What's more includes automatic re-installing apps with Hypershell and synchronization with Dropbox.

Does everything it describes and then some. I use it to back up selected apps and data on a schedule as I change ROMs often. Developers or ROM junkies who want to keep some consistent apps and their settings will benefit. Especially for apps such as Blizz
