go to Twidere-Settings-Content & Storage-Tweet Shortener and select TwitLonger to enable background sending.
Integrate TwitLonger feature into Twidere, you can use it when composing tweets, or read full text of a tweet.
It can also read tl.gd and twitlonger.com link directly even without Twidere, which means you can use it as a standalone application to read twitlonger links.

It would be great if I could upload a picture! That's the whole reason I DL this app, to add it to my tweet, since a photo can take up to 20 characters . But I guess I can't do that with TwitLonger. And by reading most of the comments on here, maybe it wo

When 140 just does not cut it, Twitlonger goes as far as possible then adds a shortened URL. A lot better than serial tweets. Great for techies!

The app doesn't work and the snippy words at the beginning will get you reported to the BBB.
