- Alarm vibrates phone
+ By Smart Tools co.
Use your phone to measure vibrations, and create alarms.
Vibration meter lets you measure vibrations with your phone. You can also create alarms that will go off at certain levels of vibration. It looks good and appears to work well. There's no record of vibrations however.
The app looks good, and is easy to use. It measures vibrations using the phones accelerator, and also lets you create alarms that will go off when a certain level of vibration is reached.
It gives you descriptions of each whole measurement (from 1-11).
For some reason an icon of a t-shirt toggles brightness, something that is decidedly odd. There is also no record of previous vibrations - although there is a mean and max. The alarm also causes the phone to vibrate quite a lot - which can in turn keep the alarm on.
This app uses the phone sensors to measure vibration or the earthquake, and it shows a reference as a seism detector.
The measured values are the Modified Mercalli Intensity scale(MMI), and just for reference. If it is inaccurate, you can calibrate it so that the maximum value is about 10-11.
