WiFi Keyboard allows you to type on your Android by using your computer's keyboard
The connection between devices is quite easy: over WiFi (it doesn't run over 3G). Open the app and you'll get the instructions: you have to go settings, language & input and select WiFi keyboard as input method. Then, open a browser on your computer and type the address to connect your devices. From this moment you will be able to type from your keyboard on your device: it really works.
Beside typing, you can also perform other actions from your computer's keyboard like controlling volume, opening menu, switching between screens, launching app drawer and apps.
This is a great idea with high potential but that has to be enhanced though. By now, we don't really find it really useful. OK it's great whatsapping or sending SMS that fast, but switching between screens, closing conversations and opening new ones isn't as intuituive as it should be. Anyway, worthy to try.
It works as ordinary input method. You can use terminal or type SMS ...
Use WiFi for low latency input. 3G may be blocked by some carriers. USB connection works best, but require some technical knowledge and connected cable.
Internet Explorer is not supported and can be unstable. Recommended browser is Chrome.

- Enter should work fine again. If it still broken, I'll disable submit on enter for single-line inputs.
- Disable full screen mode in landscape
- New key combinations supported: Ctrl-Del, Ctrl-Backspace.
- No need to press "submit" button anymore. Enter will submit single-line messages, Ctrl-Enter will submit multiline messages.
(Thanks Daniel Sim for the patch)
Check out "AOSP WiFi Keyboard" if you want this keyboard combined with the standard one (thanks to Marcos Diez).
Note that this uses the same wifikeyboard name as the remote web desktop app. Both will work (on differing ports) but one must carefully select the appropriate one and adb forward its port.
OMG, this app is incredible. If you spend time at a desk with your phone and computer on the same wireless network, this lets you control the phone as if you were using a bluetooth keyboard. Snappy, and totally versatile. Is there a home button function? I don't care, it's getting five stars anyway. SWEET.
It isnt working for me. Need help. Galaxy Core
