WiFi Keyboard allows you to type on your Android by using your computer's keyboard
The connection between devices is quite easy: over WiFi (it doesn't run over 3G). Open the app and you'll get the instructions: you have to go settings, language & input and select WiFi keyboard as input method. Then, open a browser on your computer and type the address to connect your devices. From this moment you will be able to type from your keyboard on your device: it really works.
Beside typing, you can also perform other actions from your computer's keyboard like controlling volume, opening menu, switching between screens, launching app drawer and apps.
This is a great idea with high potential but that has to be enhanced though. By now, we don't really find it really useful. OK it's great whatsapping or sending SMS that fast, but switching between screens, closing conversations and opening new ones isn't as intuituive as it should be. Anyway, worthy to try.
It works as ordinary input method. You can use terminal or type SMS ...
Use WiFi for low latency input. 3G may be blocked by some carriers. USB connection works best, but require some technical knowledge and connected cable.
Internet Explorer is not supported and can be unstable. Recommended browser is Chrome.

- Enter should work fine again. If it still broken, I'll disable submit on enter for single-line inputs.
- Disable full screen mode in landscape
- New key combinations supported: Ctrl-Del, Ctrl-Backspace.
- No need to press "submit" button anymore. Enter will submit single-line messages, Ctrl-Enter will submit multiline messages.
(Thanks Daniel Sim for the patch)
Check out "AOSP WiFi Keyboard" if you want this keyboard combined with the standard one (thanks to Marcos Diez).
This worked perfectly until the last update. None of my browsers will recognize the 10.56.128 link the program tells me to access. Please do fix so I can bump the reading back to5.
it is flawless and works perfectly for my gingerbread phone the main advantage is it can be used from any browser from pc im using wifi to connect them both
Not shows typed data in browser.
Has problems. There is a delay in typing. Well that's inherent in the method. The big bug for me is the cut and paste does not work properly. Still it's a worthwhile alternative to that so hard to use android touch keyboard. Very clever.
