Thanks to all for continued crash reports. When you send a crash report, it's useful if you could edit the note first to state your version of MS and Android device.

A complete, fully-integrated application for Megasquirt, providing everything you need on your phone or tablet for beautiful dashboards, full ECU tuning and configuration, datalog recording, and powerful graphical reviewing of datalogs including simultaneous map GPS route. Support is for MS1, MS2 and MS3 including the MS/Extra variants.

Features include:

- Flexible multi-page dashboard that can be customised. Widgets (such as gauges) can be arranged as you like using a drag-and-drop editing style.

- Logging.

- Powerful integrated datalog viewer which allows logs to be viewed in traditional graph form, together with an optional map to show GPS route information. This datalog viewer actually shows data along a true time axis rather than on record basis, meaning it represents time accurately even if data sampling rate is inconsistent. The synchronized cursors make it easy to see exactly where you were on your route or racetrack corresponding to a particular cursor position in your datalog.

- Support for all tuning screens, including table and curve editors. (Some tuning pages are blank or unavailable and are work in progress; please email me if a particular dialog is missing that you want us to make higher priority.)

- MSDroid is driven by traditional Megasquirt .ini files. If the application doesn't come with the correct .ini for your particular ECU, you can easily add it.

- Carefully designed to support all device sizes from phones to tablets, with layouts optimised to suit your particular device's screen size.

- MSDroid is used with either a Bluetooth to RS232 (serial) interface or, if your device supports USB Host mode, you can use a USB to RS232 (serial) interface. If you have a device that supports USB Host and you're a user of MS3 then all you then need is a USB cable, thanks to MS3's internal FTDI USB interface!

*** Important note to Android 4.3 users, particularly those with the Nexus 7: Please note that there is a bug with Android 4.3 that affects a type of 2D graphics rendering. In MSDroid, this causes the log viewer to crash often or always. We have successfully tested a workaround for this Android bug and it will be in a release update over the next week. ***

Release 1.1r 22nd August 2013. Please see changelog on application startup.

I cannot believe there is a bad review on this. Thank you development team for making this and keeping it up to date and for free. Will be donating to keep this afloat.

Make changes on your pc and go back to your phone (htc one x in my case) and you loose your gauge setup, very annoying. Digital/more gauge options would be awesome. If it had a working autotune it would be the best free ap available!

While shadow dash had connection issues for me, msdroid tore it up! Connected first try every time. Now I wish it had some digital or bar type gauges, but for aesthetics its OK. The amount of adjustments that can be made blew me away. This is now my go to logger and in a pinch, my pocket tuner.

Was a little nervous at first, but have found this app to be my best tool. It is easy to move around in. There is some similarity between the layout in msdroid and tuner studio. I can not wait till V2 is out. Well done.

Although the app appears to be in its early days, I'll be following its development closely (and contribute FWIW). The most urgent now (IMHO) is the ability for the user to set gauge limits and to have basic digital readout gauges (for slow moving items like CLT, IAT, BATTERY VOLT, BARO etc. These digital readouts take much less screen real estate. Then we get to user defined gauges....

Everything works quite well! My only concern is that it oftentimes resets the dashboard after saying the definition has changed. If we could fix that it would make life easier. Thanks guys I love the app!

Great app for connecting to the MS when you don't want to lug around a huge laptop and you want to make occasional changes.
