Navfree is a completely free navigation app that offers turn-by-turn directions, spoken and on-screen instructions, offline map use and address search and live search via Google and Microsoft Bing, among many other features.
The maps it uses are available for free download from the Navfree Store. The map data is stored on your device so there is no need for a constant data connection while driving. It also allows you to browse maps anytime, anywhere without paying for data connections, which means no costly roaming charges when abroad.
It uses high-quality, open-source map data from OpenStreetMap that has been created and is continually improved by as many as 400,000 users around the world. If you see a problem, you can help to improve the quality of the maps by signing up to www.openstreetmap.org.
STANDARD FEATURES OF NAVFREE

- Browse maps by dragging and scrolling.
- On-board maps - no data connection required to browse maps or navigate (UK & ROI only: offline address search).

DESTINATION SEARCH
- Search by the exact address or postcode of your destination.

- Use Google or Microsoft Bing directly from Navfree. Search results appear instantly on the map interface, and then it takes only one click to route there.

This app saved my bacon when we went to Canada. The only beef I had with it was the inability to look up street addresses. It would find the street, but could not ID the house number. Oh well, gets you close. Amazing app for being free!

I'm with Ian on the matter that you used to be able to have USA maps in this app. The last few updates have just been horrible. I'm going back to WAZE until you guys can fix what you broke (or did you intentionally remove the USA from the rest of the wo

I cannot even on uninstall the other app, and they charge money per month! Are they out of their mind! I wish they would try to make an honest living. The money always follows! Thanks Kids:-)
