The annual GACVB Winter Meeting agenda includes relevant content for today’s challenges in destination marketing.
Sessions which lead to Leadership Excellence Certification (LEC) are a highlight of this meeting. The LEC program provides destination marketing professionals with a proven pathway of leadership development that yields real-world results. This pathway leads to areas where effective leadership is critical.
The focus areas of the LEC sessions at this meeting are leading a high performance team and leading change. The Advanced LEC sessions focus on adaptive leadership and understanding & managing your own leadership qualities. These sessions qualify as credit for four hours of Tier 2: Organizational Excellence or four hours of Organizational Excellence Advanced for those who have met their Organizational Excellence requirements.
The Leadership Excellence Certification confirms the GACVB’s commitment to provide tourism professionals the opportunity to excel in the destination marketing industry. The sessions, which lead to certification, are open to all industry leaders – not just CVB professionals. Attending LEC sessions does not require you to pursue the LEC designation, but a record of your credits will be kept in the event you decide to pursue the designation at a later time. To receive LEC credit, keep in mind that attendance is required at both part 1 and part 2 of each session. Sessions are offered biannually at the GACVB Winter Meeting and the annual Governor’s Tourism Conference.
