A stand alone map and gazetteer of Great Britain including the Orkneys, Shetlands, Western Isles, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Man but excluding Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
It uses Ordnance Survey maps and data and includes an easy-to-search gazetteer listing over 22,000 GB place names and nearly 3,000 postal districts that take you directly to a detailed map. A postal district is the first half of a full postcode, for example, B1, TD1 or NW10.
Easy, touch-screen, map selection. Panning across maps is supported by simple finger drag. The top zoom level is a GB map and there are four zoom levels down to B road level. The quality of the maps varies from device to device but is full colour at all zoom levels.
Works anywhere, without any on-going transmission charges. Once installed this application is completely stand alone and does not use WIFI or mobile data to download maps nor to search for place names or postal districts.
As it’s self-contained, it is a big application requiring at least 41MB of free storage space for the application itself, plus approximately 1MB to install the gazetteer.
Does not use or require GPS satellite location nor multi-touch. It supports context sensitive help and is particularly suitable for tablets.

No bells and whistles, but its a map and does what its designed for. The postcode area function is very useful. Any chance of a further zoom level in the future?
