I'm Local is an extension of Bayside Publications, publishing business, concentrating their efforts into one area, with the realisation that I'm local would eventually expand into this web site. The original magazine came about when Steve first moved to the area in 2004 and was looking for someone to do renovations on his house. Steve's wife, Irene wanted to find the best places to shop and have her hair and nails done and which pre-school would be best for their son Mitchell to attend.
Steve compiled lists of businesses for his own use and as his lists grew he decided to put it to good use and started the magazine "Bayside Living". With his 20 plus years in advertising being his passion, he has managed to turn this into a business to help others find local businesses and services.
He has since progressed and has come up with this new concept, I'm Local Business Directory, which is hand delivered to local letter boxes. But as technology evolved it became obvious that an electronic version was needed as well as it would be quicker and easier for everyone to reach and to use. This resulted in I'm Local online being born.
Steve is working hard to make sure that everything around the Bayside, and in our day to day lives is on this site. He would like I'm Local to be the first place you turn to find everything local. It's your local directory for retail, for trades and services, restaurants, etc, etc. We trust you find everything you are looking for in I'm Local; if you do, please tell your friends about our site; if you don't, tell us and we will do our best to fix it.
We welcome your feedback to make I'm Local even better. If you have questions, suggestions or an idea you believe will help other locals, drop us a note on our Contacts Us form. After all, we are all locals trying to help each other.
