Maryland Milestones and Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, a certified Maryland Heritage Area, highlights the many first and “unique” moments which have occurred and makes connections between the history, culture, art, and natural resources in the region. At nearly 85 square miles of Northern Prince George’s County – bordered by Washington D.C. to the south, Montgomery County to the west, Howard and Anne Arundel County to the north and the remainder of Prince George’s County to the east.
