The “My BMW Remote" app provides you with a connection to your BMW via the mobile phone network.
You want to activate the ventilation in your BMW before you reach your car on a hot summer day?
You are unsure whether or not you have locked your parked BMW and wish to lock it for peace of mind - without having to be close by?
The "My BMW Remote" app can be used exclusively for BMW vehicles equipped with option 6AP Remote Services (in United Kingdom: also available for vehicles with an active BMW Assist contract). Prior activation is required via the Customer Portal Login at www.bmw-connecteddrive.com
The following functions can be used with the "My BMW Remote" app installed on an Android smartphone (available functions depend on vehicle model and national variant):
•Remote Door Lock & Unlock
•Remote Climate Control
•Remote Light Flash: remote control of configurable exterior light functions to locate the vehicle
•Google Local Search: address destination search on the Android smartphone and transfer to the vehicle navigation system
•Vehicle Finder: display of current vehicle position on a map in the Android smartphone - for locating a parked car within a radius of up to 1,5 kilometers.
The "My BMW Remote" app is available free of charge. Usage is based on the general contractual and usage conditions for BMW ConnectedDrive.

Worked perfectly for a week or so and then stopped working/getting a connection with the car. Now I always get the message 'Error during data transfer, please try again'. Annoying. Edit: Reinstalled the app, registered again and now it seems to work. Sti

Love using this app (with Xperia T JB 4.1.2 firmware). Shame my car doesn't support the flashing of headlights and sounding of horn.

You need to first activate online, on connecteddrive. Then go to your car to check and activate online services, then reinstall this app if it didn't work the first time. It'll ask security questions that you entered online. Then it'll let you.

Only locks and unlocks for the s3 on Android. When will bmw develop further. Apple has less market share but they have focused everything on apple. Not impressed

Application works great for my car. All functions work as described. It's great to be able to send locations from google search on the phone to the car. I wish I could see the location of my car when I was on vacation though. The distance limit seems
