Photo Translator is a simple app that allows you to translate any word captured with your camera

Actually, Photo Translator allows users to translate captured words by two different ways: from gallery pictures or from the camera. First off, users have to choose the languages. This version just includes 5 languages (German, English, French, Spanish and Thai), full version comes with more than 25 languages. Second, choose the way the word is going to be captured and wait a few second to get it translated.

Photo Translator is inspired by a good idea. However, the app needs to be enhanced in some regards. On the one hand, it takes too long to translate the word. On the other hand, sometimes it doesn't recognize the word. From my point of view, this two points are basic to make it really usable.

This doesn't mean that the app doesn't work at all: the app works pretty good but should be enhanced in this regard. I wish developer will focused on this issue since the idea behind the app is really good.

Take a picture from your phone camera and translate it directly to any language. The app will recognize the text from your picture and translate it automatically. You can use this program in restaurants, airports, train stations, buses, etc. This application supports the following languages : Bulgarian, Catalan, Czech, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, German, Greek, English, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Serbian, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.

    I'm in a Spanish class. This app has helped so much. Just take a pic of what u want and it translates it perfectly. There are the occasional glitches but its perfect!!!

    I tried several times to translate from Thai to English with the free version, but it's not working.. Uninstall.
