Supported Phones: GPS Trails Pro is designed and optimized for the Android phones.

Battery Life: While we optimize our code to cut down on power requirements, continued use of the GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. For longer dayhikes or overnight trips, we suggest packing lightweight battery packs to charge the phone.

Signed up for elite but do not like monthly charges. Should be an option to purchase obe time and not have to pay monthly.

I have a cottage on the Bruce peninsula and I use this app to help me mark where I find wild raspberrys and other edible plants that will grow in the same place every year

Love the app but it would be nice if the offline map size of 200MB could be increased.

I paid for the "pro" version and have tried to use it several times. Most of the time I get an error message "unfortunately backpacker gps has stopped working." When it does work, the tracking is highly erratic, showing a very inaccurate map. The only stats it shows, if any, are time and distance. The distance is incorrect because the mapping is so far off. I have run it simultaneously with MyTrac

I haven't used it much, I tried to track a hike and my gps wouldn't mark where I was at first .It took it about an hour or so before it started tracking. I like that you can take pictures of your way points.
