This app was created by EveryTrail, one of the leading mobile travel apps, and the California State Parks Foundation.

With 120,000 members, the California State Parks Foundation (CSPF) is the only statewide independent nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and advocating for California’s magnificent state parks. Since 1969, CSPF has raised more than $170 million to benefit state parks. CSPF is committed to improving the quality of life for all Californians by expanding access to the natural beauty, rich culture and history, and recreational and educational opportunities offered by California’s 278 state parks—the largest state park system in the United States.

The app says I am 154 miles from the Silver Strand. I might actually be, oh, 10 miles... 12 max. If this is so misleading at home, I sure am not going to trust it when I do a road trip. And yes, I did try more than one device.

Doesn't mention parking or fees. Can't always tell if dogs or bikes are allowed. Pretty, but lacking important details such as trailheads and distance.

Seems useful, but I was hoping to use it to plan a trip and it won't let me set the place we're staying as the center point for the parks so I can choose destinations based on that...
