GPS units are fine if you have the time, but Emergency Assist will quickly use your devices internal GPS capabilities and give you a list of services in the area. I put the application on my "Home Page" and with one click I have access to nearby hospitals, pharmacies, police stations and vets. Another click and it will send the address of the service to Google Navigation and you will be guided to the address. Two clicks. I also have the option to call them if I choose. Try that with your GPS.
Ideal for users who may not feel comfortable with their technical abilities will love the ease of use and simplicity to locate emergency services with minimal interaction with the device.
Also provided is a list of useful hotlines and airline telephone numbers.
Make sure you have your location services enabled: Settings|Location Setting|On
==> Feedback <==
I would love to hear your feedback, good or bad. If you have an idea on how to make the application better I would love to hear that as well. Please, before you give an unflattering review, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll see what I can do to improve the application. Chances are if something bothers you, it's bothering others and I'd like to correct it if I can.
Note: This application only locates emergency services within the US. Useful if you currently in the US or traveling to the US.
-Added helpers to show if you are getting closer or further away from location
-Added a dialog box to show when the list is refreshing
