Foodspotting is a location-based dishes-like photo sharing social network
Food lovers know that there are really good dishes out there, even in the most hidden places of the city. Enjoying them depends on the amount of info we have. Why don't sharing it then? Thanks what Foodspotting permits.
Foodspotting is a platform, a social network where users can check in places, take pictures of dishes and share them with other Foodspotting users. Likewise, they can rate dishes, review them, mark it as tried or as "want" (which means pending). What's more, dishes can be shared by e-mail, G+ or copy the URL and share it by other means.
It uses GPS and geo-location to find best dishes nearby, special discounts or latest added dishes. You can also search by dish or location or even search on the map. This way, gastronomic discovery becomes way more easier.
Finally, since this is a social network, you can create your own profile and customize it, follow friends (and being followed), check out friend's activity and post status updates.
Foodspotting is set in a good-looking layout and thanks to its swipable top bar is really use to get the hang of it. Simple and useful. Recommendable.

I use this all the time when I travel. It's also handy when we are having a hard time deciding what to eat. 5☆☆☆☆☆
Gives you a good idea of what the food will look like. Of course the ratings are based off perspective but if the person says its not bad and it looks good, why not try it? Fun app to use.
