"Food lovers, meet up!"

Foodspotting is a location-based dishes-like photo sharing social network

Food lovers know that there are really good dishes out there, even in the most hidden places of the city. Enjoying them depends on the amount of info we have. Why don't sharing it then? Thanks what Foodspotting permits.

Foodspotting is a platform, a social network where users can check in places, take pictures of dishes and share them with other Foodspotting users. Likewise, they can rate dishes, review them, mark it as tried or as "want" (which means pending). What's more, dishes can be shared by e-mail, G+ or copy the URL and share it by other means.

It uses GPS and geo-location to find best dishes nearby, special discounts or latest added dishes. You can also search by dish or location or even search on the map. This way, gastronomic discovery becomes way more easier.

Finally, since this is a social network, you can create your own profile and customize it, follow friends (and being followed), check out friend's activity and post status updates.

Foodspotting is set in a good-looking layout and thanks to its swipable top bar is really use to get the hang of it. Simple and useful. Recommendable.

As seen on The Today Show and in Travel + Leisure Magazine's Top Travel Apps, Foodspotting is a visual guide to good food and where to find it. It’s the leading app for finding and rating dishes, not just restaurants. Unlike other restaurant apps:

IT’S ABOUT DISHES
Discover nearby dishes, find whatever you’re craving & see what’s good at any restaurant.

IT’S VISUAL
It makes finding good food as easy as looking in a bakery window.

IT’S POSITIVE
Keep track of the dishes you try and vote up the dishes you love.

IT’S PERSONALIZED
Bookmark dishes you want to try and hide the ones you don't.

IT’S SOCIAL
See what friends and experts, like the Travel Channel, love wherever you go.

You can learn more about this personalized picture menu for dishes at Foodspotting.com and follow Foodspotting on Twitter and Facebook -- we’d love to hear your questions and ideas!

I have had this app on multiple devices and OS. It always works good. Love it for places to try new foods. It's a good personal perspective of the food. I love food pics so this is prefect app.

I think this app is really helpful when looking for help on a particular dish, but I have to say that it bothers me that a lot of times when I view nearby dishes, I get Taco Bell, pizza hut and other fast food places. If I wanted that, I would just watch TV ads. I just think there could be some sort of standards.
