MeteoScout's review

A weather app focused on rain and temp

  • Lightweight
  • Fast and undemanding
  • There's no widget

"Are you coming to a beach party tonight?"

MeteoScout is a weather app that can complement that you already have by providing rain and temperature maps for the incoming hours, taken from any public source of your choice within a list provided. It's a lightweigh app that doesn't need either much storage space or data traffic.

Its interface is clean and works fast, so perhaps you might look MeteoScout up before running other slower weather apps you have installed. Those apps have more options and info for sure, but if you only want to check out what will be the weather like tonight, MeteoScout will work perfectly. The options to zoom in and compare are appreciated, though we miss a desktop widget nonetheless.

In the end, it's an unpretentious app that promises one simple thing and keeps its word, supports several languages and can be downloaded for free (it's ad-supported).
