Solar storms are a threat to infrastructure such as satellite communications, navigation systems and electrical transmission equipment.
Solar storms release particles that can destroy computer circuits.
The intensity of solar storms is expected to peak in 2013.

In 1859, the largest recorded geomagnetic storm occurred. Telegraph systems all over Europe and North America failed, shocking telegraph operators, telegraph pylons threw sparks and telegraph paper spontaneously caught fire.

New requests for permissions. Explain why you need them now. Worked fine without them before. Don't see any change log. Convince me you need them and I'll change my review.

Like the app, trust the data (NASA), hate the ads. I understand need for ads, but move them away from red x. Would use it more, but keep hitting ad while navigating app

Full marks from me ! I've been searching for a Space weather app like this for a while, and for some reason or other it just hasn't been promoted up the ranks. The menus and info are organised in a straightfoward way, and the help button is a big plus.
