"The weather, at a glance"

Reviewed by: Emmanuel Lund / May 23, 2012

Weatherwise is an app that displays weather forecast in an original way

Local Wisdom, its developers, called it "Weather re-imagined experience". Weather info is displayed in a visual way, over landscapes which theme can be customized to user liking.

The stock (and the only one free) theme is a landscape with a ancient tree in the middle, hills, clouds and a stone path. On the right side you can see (from top to bottom), the place (you can select the places from "My Places"), current weather description, current temperature, maximum and minimum temperature, hours details, day of the week and forecast for the following 5 days.

In the bottom, there's a bar for managing the app. First, "theme store" from where you can buy new themes (most of them are $0.99). From settings you can set location, theme, randomize themes, temperature and windspeed units, local time, updating frequency, among other features. Finally, you can share screenshots by selecting any sharing resource installed on your device.

In conclusion, an original weather app, focused on scenery and highly customizable. Recommendable.
