When you look at the screenshots, FBF may seem the perfect 3D fighting game that Android users were expecting. If you watch the video, you can check that it has several fighters, both male and female, combos, and gorgeous scenarios.
However, not all that glitters is gold. Although there's no doubt that PJS-Coding has put a lot of effort in FBF, game is halfway to everything. Graphics have glitches here and there, and scenarios are seldom flat. Characters are lazily animated, as if all the needed frames to make girls' assets jiggle were taken from the rest of moves.
Anyway, what really matters in a 3D fighting game aren't 3D graphics or elaborated moves, but gameplay instead. And FBF gameplay is, to say it in a soft way, far and fairly improvable. Combats are an exchange of tap-tap-tap-tap combos, in which you must mash your on-screen buttons to chain a five or six hit combo. Combos are only blockable when they are starting, so if you soak the first hit you will be at your rival's mercy. Therefore, the best strategy is to constantly attack your rival and hope he or she doesn't dodge and counterattacks.
I love 3D fighting games, and I really think that Android deserves an outstanding fighting game suited and adapted to on-screen buttons. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. FBF is a fertile playground for its indie developers to create something great, but we'll have to wait till then. Meanwhile, download at your own convenience: if you want a 3D fighting game no matter the cost, here's FBF.
