When you are asked for 2 Gb of free storage, you know things are getting real.
Gameloft's MC4:Zero Hour consolidates the MC series, a franchise that started as a mobile reinterpretation of other better known console and PC AAA first person shooters, but eventually became a referral in mobile gaming. Flat truth, as many other Gameloft games it doesn't invent a thing, but sells top-notch tech unseen before.
Regardless its originality or lack thereof, we can't say that MC has personality on its own. It's the standard mainstream FPS, a compilation of cliches within a large cliche (Miracle of Sound sang it better).
Fortunately, MC4 players haven't come for a mind-blowing storyline or parallel timelines plot twists, nor any sort of political or moral controversy. They're here to shoot everybody down and blow everything off. In this regard, MC4 excels, given the outstanding technical performance this game provides (matching its hardware requirements), and the fact that is two games at once: the campaign mode is enjoyable and worthy of the download price by itself, while the multiplayer makes this game lifespan longer (but not yours, be ready to die often)
We would have liked, apart of the succinctly aforementioned attention worthy plot, more interaction with the scenery (to destroy enemy cover, for example) and some kind of training mode. Loadings at the start of every stage are a pain, but there's nothing to do about it. Making use of tilting controls would have been great, too.
It supports 11 major languages and it's beautifully voiced over and subbed. Recommended, mainly because it's fun, fun, fun suited for casual and hardcore players (4 difficulty levels)
