An attack defense game about Norse mythology

  • Simple to learn
  • Free, ad-supported
  • Interesting design
  • Animations may not be of your liking
  • You may miss more complexity

"Die Walküre"

Thor is a defense game in which you have to spawn your units from your castle placed on the left to overrun enemy's base placed on the rightmost. You'll incarnate one of three legendary character from Norse mythology (namely Thor, Bunhilde the valkyrie and Freya the goddess are unlocked later in game) and as you play you'll be able to summon units to help you, from the gnome (aka fodder) to Odin himself. Meanwhile, a level system based on gold coins lets you improve your skills and your units'.

Although overall design is great, animations are a little bit too sloppy or too much cartoonish. Whether this was the original idea to make it more pleasant to teen players, it can be disappointing to watch at several hefty vikings to fight with just several frames animations. Anyway, the best of this game is that gameplay is more based on quality rather than quantity, because there aren't many different characters and everything is more focused on upgrading and not on whimsically multiplying your forces.

The free, ad supported formula guarantees that everyone can give it a go. Likewise, gameplay allows that curious and connoisseurs alike can enjoy it.
