TMNT official parkour game

  • Official TMNT product
  • Menus and animations therein are great
  • It may get boring really quickly
  • Needs more movements and enemies
  • Needs even more unlockables and game modes

"Sensei Splinter won't approve this"

Of course, if there were any franchise which deserved a parkour game, that was TMNT, and that's what we have here, the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Heroes in a Half Shell Turtle Power (it's impossible to not sing it along) mobile game.

In addition to the usual parkour elements as double jumps, wall climbing and the occasional enemy in your way, you can unlock all four turtles plus some additional characters including April, well, this new teenage April. It'd have been great to unlock the original April among the other original and gloomier versions of the turtles, but who cares.

As a sidescrolling parkour game, it's fine, but there should be more gesture based movements (c'mon, they're ninjas!) and some use of the tilt controls to make it reach the top of parkouring games. Combat is rough, too, and enemies are treated more than obstacles rather than combatants.

Anyway, if you like the Turtles, it's free, and in-app purchases aren't much hostile, so as a tie-in product to the TV series might be considered good as long as you don't have higher expectations.
