Developed by Google, expect nothing but the best from this game that mimics “capture the flag”, while bridging the virtual gaming and the real world. If you don’t live near famous landmarks or enjoy getting deep into the trenches of teamwork, you’ll want to take a pass on this one.
Ingress takes the best parts of a simulation game and makes them a part of real life. Enjoy collecting virtual objects from real places, claiming territory and working with people around you to solve the game. Ingress is at heart, a deep-strategy game, for those who enjoy teamwork.
The iOS-version is still buggy. If you don’t live near any landmarks (e.g., a major city), then the game isn’t feasible unless you’re willing to travel. Lastly, if privacy is one of your concerns, beware that the required Google sign-in gives the app full access to Google-linked information.
