"Catch monsters and defeat your enemies"

Gamevil, as any other major retailer, couldn't stand aside from the collectible card game craze and released Monster Warlord, which is little more than an undisguised Pokemon game with a few novelties such as the chance to invoke friends to fight bosses and the combination of different monsters to level them up.

Meanwhile, capture or purchase creatures, build and upkeep your facilities and fulfill quests around. The management part is a good addition, but it soon gets boring as well. Paradoxically, what keeps this game alive is the alternation of both. Storyline, even when poor, is welcome.

Don't take this review too cruelly. If you are into CCGs, this is a very recommended game as it introduces all the management part. Likewise, if you want to spice up your management game streak all the monster stuff will be of your liking for sure. However, we'd have liked it better if it was far more spectacular and dynamic. In fact, we expected more from a consolidated developer as Gamevil.
