Dragon Realms, Gree's mobile MMORPG, would come to be the standard game of this kind, and it has everything you would or should expect.
Pointed ears elves, hefty human soldiers and evil six-feet critters whose only goal in life is to roam a waste no man's land for your grinding's sake. However, not everything will be happy monster hunts, as peace and proper left the realm as soon as dragons showed up in the sky, and you can wonder who's in charge of fixing it all up. OK, the correct answer was "you", don't worry. Fortunately, you'll be helped by your party-goers, who will be a handful of outcast and low leveled characters till you can dig deeper in game's mechanics and levels.
You have also to run your castle, much like any other management game, and build barracks and manage buildings to get upgrades and stuff, thereby improving your stats. Lastly, this game couldn't be conceived without the classic "lure your friends to play" disguised as guild creation and "keep your allies close". It isn't a critic at all, all the games of this kind work this way and Gree's isn't pretending to change that.
In fact, if we had to put a single example on the table about how and what a massive multiplayer online role playing game for mobile devices is, it's most likely that the answer would be Dragon Realms. It may not have the most spectacular graphics, or the most rewarding gameplay, but it's above average in all areas and it's very enjoyable even when it might be a little too demanding.
