If you like NFS series, you should give a try to Asphalt 5 because it really looks like NFS. The 3D graphics are just amazing for a mobile phone (check this video out). Likewise, there are a great amount of race locations based on real cities around the world (St. Tropez, Las Vegas, Aspen...). You can choose among a variety of cars from the most prestigious brands: Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Lotus and many other. As the game progresses you will unlock more cars and extras to customize them. There are 8 game modes: Normal Race,Time Attack, Duel Opponent, Last Man Standing, Escape (cop chase mode) and Drift Contest. It's a pity that there isn't online mode yet. You can use screentouch gamepad or use the accelerometer.
This is the paid version that includes all the features we have listed above. It's a bit expensive (4.99$) but worthy, so it's better if you try the free version before, just to know if it runs properly in your device.
The main catch of the game is that once you've downloaded it, it requests for extra files downloading. It will be almost 100 mb! so better if you do it from Wi-Fi.And that's even worse because it doesn't allow to move it you the SD card. Besides that, they've been reported some crashes in a lot of devices (and not just in the oldest ones), white screens and lag problems as well.
Asphalt 5 has been developed by Gameloft, the well-known videogame developing company. Besides the PC (and other platform) games, they've also launched some great games in the Android Market like Assasin's Creed, Night Bowling, Uno... and many other.
Asphalt 5 is one of those game that make the most of the potential of our devices. Nice 3D Graphics and high playability. If it wasn't for the flaws we have commented above, it would give the 5 stars.
