    Battle Group Arcade's review

A seafare "defense on rails" game

    • Innovative and immersive gameplay
    • Voice overs and storyline
    • More tactical options would have been great
    • A multiplayer mode would be awesome

    "Sink them all!"

Battle Group would come to be something between a shooter on rails and a time management or active defense game. You command your ship (a squad if you achieve to unlock support vessels) and have to go through levels repelling incoming enemy attacks. As missiles take their time to reach their target, it's quite tricky to learn when and where to shoot, but that's the main charm of this so enjoyable game.

Graphics are't better than many other games, but radio voice overs, even though are somehow robotic, are deeply appreciated. There are many (and replayable) levels and a survival mode to assure fun for days, although you'll have to upgrade it to the paid version if you want to enjoy the full campaign and unfold all the storyline. Each ship class has specific skills so you can vary your gameplay.

Great game, a game both all arcade and tactical players will love, and if you were looking for a game full of ka-booms but don't want to mess up with classical shoot'em-ups, this is for you, too.

Bane games is the creator of this game, from whom we'd like to see future versions of this game set in deep space, pirates of the Sargasso Sea or ninjas and mammoths in Northern Lemuria, you name it.
