Brave Heroes tries to give a new twist to active-defense sub-genre, in which you have to control a hero and spawn minions to take over the enemy's headquarter. Compared to other similar games, the main features it brings are the openly childish graphics, the wide rooster of heroes to unlock (more than twenty we have counted) and some spells that we could call "familiar" if you are used to play RPGs.
However, gameplay is somehow slow and upgrades don't make much difference, so unless you're a hardcore defense gamer you'll get bored soon. As aforementioned, the amount of different heroes guarantees a high replayability, but it doesn't bring any new fresh air into the genre otherwise. In addition, in-app purchases seem fishy, or at least far from what we are used to.
Either way, here it is. It isn't the best of both worlds, though it would have been a blockbuster if it were released two years ago.
