Funky Smugglers belong to what we could call last generation casual gaming, this is, games that can actually be learnt in less than ten seconds but can get you caught for a zillion hours due to their wise adjustment of difficulty and a careful mise en scène.
In this case, soundtrack is awesome (no need to be born in the 50s to enjoy 70s-like music), comic-like graphics are smooth and cheerful and gameplay is addictive as hell.
In addition, there's a shop to purchase new characters and abilities, though they are sold in in-game currency for a reasonable price. If you want to exchange legal tender for coins it would be because you want to somehow donate, because game comes complete with its initial price.
Lastly, please, there's no need to play this game as if you were slicing pieces of fruit. Make use of the multi-touch to make the most of this game...and enjoy multiplayer battles. You shall be surprised.
