Immortal War

Immortal War's review

A standard collectible card game

  • Gorgeous artwork
  • Unacceptable amount and type of permissions
  • All usual flaws of the CCG genre

"Gods' love and goddesses' war"

Immortal War is a collectible card game for mobile devices. Indeed, we can say it's the standard CCG nowadays, and about the same games of GameZen. They're good games, but they seem stuck on the same flaws over and over: the amount of permissions is unbearable, as are which permissions are asked for as well (record audio? monitor messages?) and game's too static, with not even an intent of animation or something.

Likewise, the super-positive comments, every one with a code attached, which is indeed a usual strategy in the genre, is going to be considered a flaw soon, because it's hard to tell if there's actually any user complaining about the game in such a ocean of interested proneness to gratuitous high praise.

Artwork is gorgeous, as it should be expected of any CCG, but there's little if any interaction with them. It'd be great to save your favorite card as a wallpaper without having to take a screenshot. Therefore, a standard CC Game, there's no harm in it and even has a love-meter to bring new cards to your pantheon, but it isn't better than any of its competitors otherwise.

Lastly, if you aren't into gods and mythological stuff, you can give a go to any other GameZen's game.
