In Kinito Ninja you can play either the role of a milky skinned geisha or an afro samurai in their continue mission to defend serfs from evil doers. It's a side scrolling running game, so your character can't stop him or herself, you can only dodge upcoming obstacles by jumping, double jumping or sliding and slash enemies with your katana. In your way you can gather yens -aka non legal tender money in the US yet- and sushi rolls about the size of a spare tire.
These huge makizushi give you enough energy to unlock a fourth move able to sweep away everything in your path. Graphics are gorgeous and cool, music has its Easter touch and gameplay starts with an easy step by step tutorial before starting a well-thought progression curve. In other words, an addictive game with nice comic-like interludes between stages. Although there are a lot of achievements via OpenFeint, we miss more customization options or more characters and even more different foes and obstacles, perhaps including a store or power-ups.
Either way, great simple and fun game by Yubi Games. Recommendable, don't miss the complete version once you get enough of this lite one.
