It's impossible to pigeonhole this game to a single genre. It's new and fresh. It may look like 80s adventure games, like Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle or Indiana Jones The Fate of Atlantis; and, in fact, it works pretty much like them. However, this isn't a pure adventure game. There isn't a continuous storyline here: McPixel is made up by 20-seconds quests which purpose is to avoid things to explode by combining in the correct order objects and people.
McPixel is a save-the-day guy (McGyver-inspired, of course, but way more clumsy and disrespectful). He has to tap on objects to interact with them: sometimes McPixel will grab them, and then you'll be able to combine it with other stuff. Otherwise that single interaction will end up the level with a explosion.
You can't imagine which kind of hilarious situations you'll be involved: violate a cow with a bone, skimo flashing their nakedness, aliens smoking weed... Three different "worlds" in this version that you access choosing one of three doors, with 6 different levels each.
Who said absurdity, temerity and pixels cannot be fun when put together?
