One of the best NES emulators for Android

    • Easy to use
    • Compatible with .nes and .unf ROMs
    • Different control systems
    • Cheats (.cht)
    • No ROMs included
    • No ROM search engline included

    "8-bit generation"

If you're looking for a good NES emulator for your Android, NES.emu by Robert Broglia is one of the best user-rated ones out there. Why? It's simple - it's also one of the most thorough and complete ones in terms of features and functions. By using NES.emu you can load ROMS in both .unf and .nes formats, you can continue the games where you left off, set up touch controls and even play with controllers and keyboards which you can connect with USB or Bluetooth. Plus you can add cheats (by using .cht files), play with both horizontal and vertical screens and tweak the advanced settings.

It's easy of use, compatibility with different ROM formats and controls, and the advanced features are its main strengths.

It would have been nice to have a small collection of ROMs by default or at least a search engine where you could download them straight to your mobile without having to transfer them via USB.

Good app, but could you update the UI to a kind of android 7 look? It looks really outdated for a paid app

What the hell happened to the sound? On my Galaxy Note 4, running Marshmallow, the sound skips every 7 seconds or so. I have almost all of the other .Emus installed on the same phone, and the sound is fine on those. My sound settings for NES.Emu are the default ones, and again same as the other .Emus on the same phone. This is an unfortunate blot on what has generally been a spotless track record for the excellent .Emu emulators. Please fix this ASAP.

Great emulator but has an issue on my Sony Bravia XBR-55X850D where the emulator will crash if the ROM directory is too big which is rather inconvenient since I now have to split up the roms in smaller folders just to play anything.

You can't go wrong with any emulator Robert develops.
