A vertical WWII shoot'em-up
Bringing back the essence of old vertical shoot'em-ups as 1942, Pacific Wings allows us to pilot a plane over the Pacific in the midst of WW II, shooting down hundred of impossible enemy aircraft and breaking any law of Physics known so far as scroll rolls vertically and ammo lasts forever.
Controls are customizable but don't make the most of your device as all options are on-screen. Difficulty level is quite a bit unbalanced, and ranges from very hard to insanely impossible. Fortunately you get an extra life every 5,000 points, and have for sure you'll need them. Graphics are too simple, even for a homage to games from so many years ago. Likewise, animations are poor, so to speak, leaving this game a feeling of incompleteness. This doesn't mean it isn't fun, give it a go if you wish, but don't keep high expectations.
You can control the game with the trackball (customizable via settings), d-pad or touchscreen.

Kills time quick
Loox cool. Game sux. 1942 is WAY better. 80s games rock
Jumps around a lot and lags quite a bit.
poor tracking. theres a long lag when moving across the screen. levels end abruptly with no boss fight; unlike every other 1942 style game. very disappointed. love the old school graphics though.
This is a fun game, has a classic feel. But the responsiveness ruins it. The plane does not necessarily follow your finger and tends to lag making for stupid deaths. Needs more power ups too.
