Ready Steady Bang may come from one of the most simple premises ever. In addition, its gameplay and performance is as simple that it could have been coded in Basic if needed. It's all about two pixelated cowboys dueling to death. You'll see and hear a countdown (in fact, the "ready, steady...bang" from the title) and the first who taps on his side of the screen will win. Tap too soon or later than your foe and you will lose. Is that all? A one-tap game? Yes. And you'll love it.
You can play against the AI as much as you want: the higher the difficulty the fastest the AI-controlled duelist is. However, the best is playing against other player: it's the perfect game for children and adults trapped in a traffic jam, a bus trip or in a dentist's waiting room. The slight random element managing when you can shoot makes every duel intense, and the thirty or so different animations to die are all worthy to be unlocked.
This game doesn't deserve a 4/5 for its graphics, or sound effects, or even for originality. It's been rated 4/5 because it's fun as hell, and the last time I checked it out, casual games should be conceived for a good time. Of course, it could get a 5/5 if it has an online mode, customizable characters and weapons and some kind of leaderboard. However, it might not be the same, though.
