Sharpshooter's review

    An archery defense game

    • Easy to learn and low demanding
    • Good physics work
    • It needs improvement in several areas

"Nothing brings justice farther than an arrow"

Sharpshooter is the latest in an ongoing tradition of defense games in which you have to aim where your archer shoots and let the laws of physics do the rest. In this case, you have to fend off incoming monsters such as Harryhausen skeletons, Roc thunderbirds and unforsaken wraiths from your lovely and peaceful village.

Game's pace is quite slow, giving the feeling that every shoot, even though ammo in unlimited, counts. Of course, there's an in-game shop to upgrade your bow and arrows and get other health items and the like. Graphics and animations are slightly above average, though they don't show much because you can't zoom in on anywhere. Monster design is great, but it needs more variety, and bosses would have been welcomed.

Sharpshooter is free, ad-supported, and an entertaining pastime if you aren't looking for something either brainier or more intense.
