    Official KoF port to Android

    • It's KoF, yes it is.
    • Great gameplay and 2D fighting experience
    • Few compatible devices

    "Kurai yagare!"

Please, first allow me a brief disclaimer as the hardcore street fighter fatal fury art of fighting whatsoever gamer I used to be:

I had little, if any, hope on this game when I downloaded it. I was pretty unsure about how KoF would be adapted to mobile gaming, and the only previous applicable precedent I had on mind was from Neo Geo pocket, something most of you I'm sure you're unaware. Unbeknownst to me, there was a glad surprise awaiting me.

KoF port has been undertaken with mobile devices on mind. Unfortunately, nearly all Android devices have been sacrificed in the process, as it can only be downloaded onto a very short list of devices (check out developer's description), surely because of screen resolutions and so. The good part is that is works smoothly, so much that we are confident that it may start a new era of 2D fighting games on smartphones, especially now that console fighting is coped with 3D games. Graphics and sounds have been kept Neo-Geo like and the only thing that you fortunately will miss is that there are only two attack buttons, namely punch and kick, instead of four -which became six when we took into account A+B and C+D. This doesn't mean that there aren't jumping kick, fierce punch, fireball combos anymore, but otherwise: there are a lot of combos and, once you master the art of drawing half quarters on the screen pad, you will be ready to that serious stuff you did when you were unbeatable in the arcades.

Twenty characters may be too few depending on what you are looking for. Of course, Terry, Andy, Joe, Kyo and Mai are there, but Blue Mary and Ryo are missing, for example.

This KoF for Android will meet any expectatives any KoF player may have, and we hope that G-Gee brings more characters and scenarios in future updates. Even, as there's no harm in asking, they might well port other SNK titles as Samurai Shodown.
