Tower defense may be the most successful genre on average smartphones, so it shouldn't strike anyone by now that rash attempts pop up here and there. It's also true that we can find little jewels if we try enough to find them.
A Knights Dawn shows off quite impressive graphics and a lovely bagpipe music. Every stage has three difficulty levels to choose among, though overall feeling is that it's a rather difficult game. Game mechanics are easy to learn and there are a lot of combinations to try out in order to advance forth. However, the best upgrades are prohibitive and discouraging either with in-game currency or true money. That's how freemium games work, or at least that's what it seems.
In exchange, this games pleases us with a faerie tale intro and deluxe animations; both things quite rare within tower defense-like games. In the end, it's worth giving it a try if you have already come to terms with long loading times.
Note: inexplicably, it doesn't run on HTC Desire HD. We haven't been able to unravel the reason.

Please fix this, i played this on a friends ipad and it was really fun, would like to enjoy it on my nexus 7 too...

Tried this on three different devices and it still won't open.. Stuck on dumb yellow screen. Did I mention that nobody I know can get this to start on their phones.
